ADCA AGM on 29th June  This will be the first AGM for ADCA, after a successful year of running Thornton House Day Club as well as setting up the Coffee Club, Befriending Service and Voluntary Driver scheme.

The AGM will be held on Friday, 29th June at 2pm at Thornton House.

Everyone interested in finding out more about what ADCA does, contributing to discussion about developing our service for older and vulnerable people or finding out about volunteering is welcome to attend.

#Talk on Alzeihmer's
As part of the AGM, a member of the local branch of the Alzeihmer's Society will give a short talk and answer questions about the work of the Society in supporting people with Alzeihmer's and their carers.

'Coming to the Day Club makes me feel much younger', says one of our newer members. Speakers, music, stimulating activities, reminscence, chat and days out for a meal and, of course, our recent Jubilee patio party at Thornton House see photos alongside all contribute to an active and growing 'family' of membership.

Our new local charity has been very fortunate in receiving the continued support of the Parish Council, local churches, Audlem Medical Practice, Cheshire East Council and a host of other local people. We have expanded the Tuesday Day Club membership from 10 to 22 people and now have up to 15 people attending our Friday morning Coffee Club.

#Volunteers
We have also recruited 10 new volunteers to help with a variety of tasks alongside our 12 longer standing ones and our loyal and committed staff team.

Formal invitations to the AGM will be going out in the next day or two to all our members, volunteers and supporters but please note this date in your diary. The committee do have ideas about possible future developments for ADCA but would welcome everyone's contribution to the 'Open Forum' part of the AGM.
