The parrot is a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. Since he/she seems to be visiting her garden regularly, would it be possible for Heather Jones to put some extra food and water out every day to encourage him to keep on returning.

Cockatoos like seeds, monkey nuts and roughly chopped fruit and vegetables, he will probably like banana and hard boiled egg!!

If she continues to feed him there it may be possible to catch him in a few days. Put out a call for a large parrot sized cage or hutch with a door and gradually start putting a trail of food into that.

Once caught he should have a leg ring and this may be able to tell you to whom he belongs.
