According to an article in the Daily Telegraph, cut out and saved by an Audlem resident, a 20 metre beech tree should be more than 15 metres from a house. The Muller building line should be checked in case it damages this tree. The Copper Beech has a Tree Preservation Order and the Borough Council has confirmed that it cannot be cut or treated if it is for the benefit of a building rather than the tree itself.
