Combermere Abbey Announces Return Of Public, Group and VIP Tours for 2022

This spring, locally-loved gem Combermere Abbey will once again be inviting the public to learn about its past, continuing its popular tours through the historic building in 2022.

Guests have three tour options, all personally led tour and enjoy a fascinating insight into Combermere Abbey’s 950-year-old history from 1133 to the present day. Hear about its famous residents and visitors and the restoration from ruin at the hands of the current owners.

Public tours of Combermere Abbey will open on Tuesday 5th April and run through until Thursday 7th July. Tours will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Guests travel from far and wide to catch a glimpse of the abbey’s history and discover its many secrets.

As a member of Historic Houses, Combermere Abbey will be holding three dedicated Invitation to View tours for history fanatics on Tuesday 10th May, Tuesday 14th June, and Tuesday 12th July, all at 2pm. This includes a private showing of the abbey as well as afternoon tea with its owner, giving a chance to ask plenty of questions.

Group tours, limited to 20 people, will also be available for arts and preservation groups, historic associations as well as friends and families wishing to explore the abbey together. They are private and priced at £10 per person.

Based in the heart of the countryside, nestled on the Cheshire/Shropshire border, Combermere Abbey is a cherished local gem that welcomes visitors from all over the world. Those travelling from further afield to enjoy the tours can stay overnight in one of their self-catering, dog-friendly holiday cottages or one of two North Wing luxury B&B suites.

Public Tour ticket prices will be priced at £10 for adults, £5 for children (10-15) and will be free for children under 10. For other tours please view the relevant pages on the website.
