Bunbury Mill Opens Easter

Welcome to the Bunbury Mill
Newsletter Spring 2016

The volunteer team has been busy through the winter- here are some examples of the work we've been doing to get the mill ready for the 2016 season, which starts on Easter Sunday, 27th March. Do come and see us if you can!

But we haven't been completely closed to visitors either- we have hosted groups of primary school children and college bakery students.

As you can see, we need a wide variety of contributions from the volunteer team. If you might be interested in joining in, do please contact us (no commitment!)

• Repairing seals on the sluice to reduce water wastage.
• Replacing worn and broken wooden teeth in the mill's gearing
• Reaseheath College bakery students toured the mill and were then given a quiz to test what they'd learned!
• Replacing the top timber of the main mill sluice gate
• Stripping and thorough cleaning of the the millstones
