The time draws ever nearer to the big match. Make a firm date – 16th August – on the Audlem playing field. Kick off at 11.00am. Spectators most welcome.

Let's make it a very happy but earnest game, with lots of vocal encouragement. Clean, of course. No charge for those supporters. A very professional record of photographs will be taken.

Referee Steve Walker booked, a man of very fair judgement – indeed cut of the same cloth as Mr Blata of FIFA. Looking forward to a fine retirement in the South Seas after receiving his "fees"!
Linesmen booked and of a similar mind to Steve.

Training sessions get harder and harder. Barry Parker, manager, trainer and coach all in one, is pushing hard to get them into shape. Kev Mort and Alan Brindley lending their welcome expertise – and professionalism.

All this effort by the ladies is a charity day in favour of the North West Ambulance Service and a special quiz night will be held in the Lord Combermere on the 11th August with a superb raffle.

This Tuesday a good number turned out for 90 minutes of team workout. The aroma of Deep Heat overpowering any perfume as they chill out in the Lord C after their workout.
