LifeJam on 18th October "Raising funds in Aid of the St David's boat house appeal"

Following on from previous such charity appeal events as the one we held for OXFAM and for the benefit of a young musician who died suddenly, we are presenting another at the Lord Combermere.

On Saturday 18th October, we – Reuben Palin, Ralph Warburton and Rodney Cottrell – will present a day of free music for the enjoyment of all.Based at the very supportive Lord Combermere, you will listen to a wide range of performers with the playing of the full range of music.

Reuben Palin, who is an Audlem man, was, until recently, a police officer in the Manchester Metropolitan force, but is now transferred to Pembrokeshire. He is now, as you see from the photo, a volunteer member of a very active Lifeboat Crew and is a very active part of their drive to raise vital funds.

Reuben, playing a full part in the Audlem Music Festival that takes place in May, was very involved in booking the excellent music that The Lord C presented each week before his transfer south.

I have joined in with him in putting on the great day – and he and I are delighted that Rodney Cottrell, who is so active in the RNLI, is fully with us in this endeavour. We hope you will all enjoy the day and that we will indeed raise a good figure for St David's in its very good work – all voluntary of course.

More detail as we get close to the 18th October. Make a date in your diary.
