Tomorrow afternoon the final of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance 40-over knockout cup is being played at the Gorse Croft. The two teams who have reached the final are Glazebury, currently tenth in Division 1 and Westminster Park, second in Division 2. It is an honour for Audlem to be selected to host the final and, with the ground being relatively small, there should be plenty of runs scored during the day.

En route to the final Glazebury have overcome 1st Division Holmes Chapel, 2nd Division Maritime and in the semi-final 1st Division Stalybridge St Paul's. Westminster Park have seen off three 1st Division teams – Wistaston, The Groves and in the semi-final Wilmslow, Audlem's vanquishers.

The match starts at 1.30 pm and with the weather looking more promising than today, it should be a good day for spectators to go and watch. The bar is fully stocked and there will also be a barbecue. So, take along a chair or two and sit and enjoy what should be an exciting match with a drink in your hand.

Let's make the Alliance know that they made the right decision to use one of the most picturesque grounds in the league by turning up in numbers to watch the match. As always, entrance is free.
