Audlem travelled to Stone for the second round of the Hassell Trophy on Sunday June 10 after defeating Crewe Vagrants in the first round.
The Stone skipper on winning the toss decided to insert Audlem on a decent batting track. Andy Capper and A Naveed got Audlem off to a decent start but with Naveed's dismissal Craig Holding strode to the crease with the assumption that the game was a 20/20 thrash.. after only facing 18 deliveries he returned to the pavillion with 36 runs to his name with 5 fours and a 6 in his delightful cameo, Young Luke Harding batting at 6 was the mainstay of the middle order and given great assistance by skipper Chris Shenton(22).
Audlem closed on 197 all out off only 35.3 overs leaving 27 unused deliveries.
Stone were never in the hunt in their reply with wickets falling at regular intervals and Audlem were able to bowl some of their occasional bowlers with future fixtures in mind dismissing Stone for 112 in the 30th over
