It has been pointed out to AudlemOnline that the list of defibrillators we published recently, omitted the one installed at Audlem Bowls Club. This was highlighted in an article published nearly three months ago (click here to see it). So we have reproduced our list, below, to include this one. Importantly it is available 24 hours a day.

Audlem:

  • Audlem Medical Practice GP Surgery – public access when Surgery open (Mon-Fri 8.30 am to 6 pm; Sat- Sun closed)
  • Coop Shop – public access when shop open (every day 7 am to 10 pm)
  • Audlem Cycle shop – public access when shop open (Tue-Sat 9.30 am to 5 pm; Sun, Mon closed)
  • The Mill Shop – public access when shop open (every day 9 am to 5 pm). Available any other time if the owners are present
  • Audlem St James' Primary School – access during school hours
  • Audlem Bowls Club, attached to the side of the pavilion – 24 hour access
  • Fire Station Fire Engine
  • First Responder jeep

We understand that there will be one soon in the Public Car Park – 24 hour access

Other Nearby Locations

  • Overwater Marina – when office open (every day 9.30 am to 5 pm summer, 9.30 to 4 pm winter)
  • Woore – The Country Store A51/A525 crossroads – 24 hour access
  • Buerton telephone kiosk junction of A525 Woore Road and Windmill Lane – 24 hour access
  • Adderley Village Hall – 24 hour access

24 hour Access

The defibrillators described above as "24 hour access" are open to public use all the time. The units display some instructions (see photo) but they are a bit confusing, especially in the heat of an emergency. Basically you have to phone 999 and quote the location code (displayed on the front of the unit). You will then be given a code to be typed into the keyboard on the unit to open it up for use.

The defibrillators described above are not necessarily the type shown in the photo.
