Another thought on the proposal put forward for a giant redwood on the Little Heath green: "On the subject of the 'Green' and the Redwood tree – I learned only recently that the green used to be a pond until it was filled in. Imagine getting away with that today! I've even seen a picture of it when it was a pond. Perhaps the village might consider reinstating it and importing a few newts!"
