Following on the back of the Festival they wanted to be here for, Hello Big World played at the Lord Combermere last night.
What surely would have been a welcome addition to the Festival, the duo created a warm, friendly atmosphere as they played their set. Mainly self-penned, these are two talented young women who create a unique sound and a performance of the highest quality. Listening to the comments around the bar, they certainly made a few more friends here in Audlem.
The second half saw local band Foxy Wellingtons deliver a stripped down version of their set, playing mainly acoustic. They included a new song co-written with ex Artful Dodger front man Seve G (Audlem Dry cleaners fame). This was another strong performance from the lads, their confidence and ability building with every gig.
The Lord Combermere enjoyed a great acoustic style night of young talent, supporting the local music scene and providing a great live venue. Just shows that this is what builds Audlem's reputation for great music and a hive of activity,
