Last week it was Apple Day and we did a bit of a mash-up thing and made it Apple and Conker day – we're just mad like that.
Anyway, there was a bit of conkerish stuff happening as well as apple hanging and bobbing and juice making. Our major error on the night was the deployment of very small apples, ahem.
Everyone managed to clear out an 8 apple bobbing bowl in seconds. Well, it was either that or you've all got overly large mouths – 'I'm saying nothing' just wait for the nuclear cooking apples next year.
This week Youth Club is on Friday 6th November (7-9), it being the first Friday of the month, and we're ditching the disco and doing dens!
Yep, courtesy of Gary the Marvellous at The Bridge pub, we have a pile of cavernous cardboard boxes that we're going to mix with miles of material, the odd pole and some inner tubes for a serious session of 'WHO CAN BUILD THE BEST DEN'.
You'll be fighting us wrinklies off with a big stick for this one- who doesn't love a cardboard box that you can fit your whole body in? Actually, it'll probably be a quiet night as it's bonfire weekend so I GUARANTEE that by 8pm me and Monique will be inside a giant den (that we will have made using EVERYTHING) eating buttery toast.
You know what, just stay at home this week...PS The new four slice toaster will be making its debut this Friday, with a choice of Jam, Nutella, Marmite or just the hot buttered variety.
