Movie – the Duff

Last week at Youth Club was a proper girl-fest evening with onesies, popcorn, hot chocolate and a movie. Year 7 were whooping it up in Anglesey and the rest of the boys mysteriously stayed away.

Still, we were kept entertained by the masterpiece that is 'The Duff' (designated ugly fat friend for the unitiated). Let me tell you, she was neither ugly or fat AND she got the hot guy in the end, so I'm not really sure that it was demonstrably proven that it's what on the inside that counts after all, as the cover blurb suggested it did. Not that any of us were really that bothered as we were busy counting what's on the inside more in terms of popcorn and milky hot choc volumes.

Conkers and apples

Moving on to this week (Wednesday, October 28th) and an altogether more action fuelled event with a quickfire Conker Tournament, Snap Apple, Apple Bobbing and Apple Pressing.

The sharpest amongst you might spot a bit of a theme – yes, it's Apple Day this week!

We can promise that you will probably be hit quite hard in the face by apples and conkers and plunged into ice cold water in the pursuit of the apple. Get stuck in and all will be rewarded by a spot of apple pressing therapy.
