Youth Club AGM

Youth club are holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 11th March at 7.30pm in the Scout & Guide Hall. All ages are welcome, young people and adults.

This will be a particularly important meeting for the future of the club as many long term committee members are standing down.

It is about a year since the Club stopped meeting weekly at the Public Hall due to very low numbers of members attending. The less frequent Café sessions at the Old Priest House have also been poorly attended whereas 'one off ' events such as last weekend's successful scalextric raceday have proved very popular.

We anticipate therefore that much of the meeting on Thursday will be devoted to considering whether there is a need in Audlem for a traditional regular youth club.

Or would it be more constructive to concentrate on occasional events which could possibly be organised by Audlem Action for Youth under the 'Funky' banner and therefore there would not be a need for a separate Youth Club.

If on the other hand if there is a wish for Youth Club to continue and develop then it is essential that we have some new interest from the village and new volunteers to take it forward.
