Exciting News for all Young Embroiderers' and Textile Students. South Cheshire Embroiderers’ Guild is going from strength to strength with the exciting development of a Young Embroiderers’ Group!

Ruth Dalby will run the group, along with several of our professional and skilled members, and meetings will be held during school holidays.

We have enough talented helpers to assist the younger children, but also we would like to encourage older school and college textile students who will benefit from a wide variety of embroidery and textile expertise.

We are a keen to try new and exciting techniques to keep our young embroiderers’ interested and enthused about textile art. Each session will have a theme and the members will get the opportunity to try a whole range of textile work and produce a finished piece of work within the day.

The emphasis is on encouragement and experimenting – we provide all additional materials and equipment and you get to take your work home with you!

The Young Embroiderers’ Group is for boys and girls of all ages from 7 to 17 years – an adult must accompany children under 8 years old.

The next meeting will be “Paint and Stitch with Style” and has been arranged for Wednesday 4th April at Yoxall Village Hall, Haslington, between 10.30am and 2.30pm. Please bring a packed lunch, and as this will be a messy session, wear old clothes!

Meetings take place one Wednesday every school holiday. The charge is £5 per session plus a £10 annual fee to the Embroiderers’ Guild.
