Wrenbury Model Railway Club

The Wrenbury & District model railway club are preparing for their free Open Doors event on Friday evening the 4th of July and Saturday the 5th. They are planning to show off Wrenmere their 22ft long 0 gauge layout – with the two new extension boards that are under construction. The extendable 009 layout Cannon's Wharf will be running, as will their N gauge layout Oldfield North. They will also operate their original 00 layout and their portable 00 layout St Margaret's plus their special 8ft long 00 layout designed for young people to operate both the locomotives and points. The club will also display rolling stock across other gauges of the hobby.

Free parking is limited outside the Wrenbury Village Hall Cholmondeley Road Wrenbury CW5 8HG with wheelchair access to both rooms. Refreshments are available with two local venues offering special rates for visitors across their menus.

This year's event is supported by Orion Engineering Ltd of Nantwich.

The club is taking one of their portable layouts to Rail Ex Crewe on Sunday the 22nd of June where they will also have a sales table of rolling stock & track recently donated from a former members estate.

The Wrenbury club has a reputation for its friendly weekly meetings regardless of your skill or knowledge of the hobby and members are always prepared to give helpful advice.
