Working Together and Trying New Things!

From the School weekly Newsletter:

It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers attending our Parent Teacher Meetings on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you for your support with these meetings; they are a vital part of our home school partnership.

I know some of you took the opportunity to talk to the Governors who were present on both evenings, thank you for all of the feedback and thoughts you shared with them; working closely with Governors, parents, staff and children we continue to see our school go from strength to strength. I would also like to thank all of the Teaching Assistants who volunteered to cover childcare for these evenings.

We were treated to a wonderful Spanish Themed Lunch on Tuesday with children and staff trying out flavours from Spain and learning a few Spanish words and phrases along the way! Many thanks to Mrs Hayward for all of the time and effort she put into this special event.

Thank you for all of your kind contributions to our Smarties Tubes Appeal for the Mend Our Mum charity. These donations will now be used to help fund essential medication and treatment.

Well done to Harry Huntbach, Harrison Saunders, Max Shannon, Ruby Milburn, Tessa Sullivan, William Reade, Charlie Chibnall, Ebony Jo Rudd Farnell and Ciara Lloyd Beeston for achieving the first 10k certificates of the new academic year for Active Audlem.

FASA

Final call for all Spooky Disco dancers! This special FASA event is on Sunday 2nd November. Remember to book your places as these are limited. Please contact Lorna Saunders (07801 238819) or Deborah Varley (07940 914639) to book a place.

ABC Childcare

ABC will be running a series of after school club sessions from after half term for the children in our school. These sessions will run from 3.15pm – 4.15pm. A leaflet with more details has been sent home to all families, please look out for it.

Oopsadaisydoodle is coming to ABC! Please see the attached flier for more details of these exciting sessions, which begin on Friday 7th November.

ABC offer affordable, high quality childcare including wrap around services (Breakfast and After School Clubs) as well as Nursery sessions for children from 18 months old and a Holiday Club (depending on demand). These services do not need to be used all year round. If you are interested in ad hoc sessions, please contact Lynsey on 01270 669050.

Flora Vouchers

Tesco are running a promotion linked to Flora spread, where electronic tablets can be saved for with vouchers collected by purchasing Flora. If you are able to donate any vouchers for this to our school this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Annie Goodwin and her family would like to thank everybody who voted for her on the Horse of the Year show website recently. Annie was runner up in this competition and was featured in the Show's programme as a result – which she was very excited about!

Finally

I would like to wish you all a wonderful half term and look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Monday 3rd November.
