Witnesses wanted after break-in

The police are searching for witnesses after Audlem Tennis Club was broken into on Sunday night. The club was targeted at some point between Sunday evening and the early hours of Monday when carpets and light fittings were damaged.

PC Ken Maple says: "The club's ball-catching machine was used to throw coffee and water over the carpets, which have had to be scrapped. The offenders have searched the club and wreaked havoc inside."
