Winter weather problems

We are currently experiencing snow fall in the high areas of the east of the Borough. The police have requested closure of the A537 Macclesfield -Buxton Road (Cat and Fiddle).

All routes have been pre-treated – with the high-level routes treated twice.

Cheshire East Council highways teams are making every effort to get the routes re-opened as soon as possible.

We are also experiencing some isolated flooding across other areas of the network; again we are attending to reported incidents as we become aware.
