Last year there was considerable unhappiness about the lengthy period over winter when there were no brown bin collections.

Indeed, there was such unhappiness at AudlemOnline HQ that a letter from the head gardener was dispatched to Cheshire East Council. We have seen in various council meeting minutes that the unrest was widespread.

It now appears that the winter shutdown of brown bin collections will last from 8th December until 13th February. Unfortunately, with bins collected on every other Tuesday, it means in practice for most Audlem residents that the last collection will be on Tuesday 25th November.

But a word of 'Thank You' to the recycling collectors recently who have been going out of their way to be helpful taking extra loads of leaves and debris, a real bonus for those with huge amounts of leaves and compost, and all bins and compost bays full to overflowing.
