Peter and Chris Silvester write: "Following an attempted burglary yesterday morning at Audlem Mill, other local shops and residents are advised to be on the lookout.
"At about 5.15 am yesterday, four men tried to break in, and in fact broke a
window, but went away when Winston, our dog, started barking loudly. From
the top floor windows, we saw the men walk past the side of the Bridge Inn
and then towards the Lord Combermere.
"Winston was the hero of the day, as he prevented the men getting into the
Mill. We are contemplating getting him a red cape and blue shorts, so he
can be Superdog!"
