Hello,

William Eddowe was my Great x9 grandfather described in the parish registers as "Gentleman" of Swanback. He was buried on 6th April 1714 in Audlem.

This is very new knowledge to me and I wonder if anyone among your readers can help me with any knowledge of William himself or of any commercial activity or similar in the area of Audlem in the late 17th century please?

Two of his daughters were Elizabeth and Jane and they married Evans brothers George and William who were Yeoman farmers at Dodcott cum Wilksbey and Nantwich.

William's sons were Rev. Roger who was the Vicar of Battlefield in Shrewsbury, John E a Joiner in Kingsley, Staffs and William E of Epsom, Surrey who was a Cordwainer and a Dissenter.

If anyone has any specific information or can see any possible links that I might investigate I would be very grateful to hear from them.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Leslie Eddowes
