WI Jollifications!

The merry gang of Audlem WI are once again blazing a trail into unknown territory, and having decided that pole dancing was maybe a tad too energetic for Audlem residents on a Bank Holiday Monday – after all they had their livers to consider – have settled for the glorious sight of 'The Sand Game!'

Yes, of course there will be a table piled high with delicious home made bakes, all with appropriate ingredient information to embrace every allergy going, and even those still to be discovered, but as we are aiming to appeal to a wider audience, the 'Sand Game' will embrace the younger age group and everyone will be a winner!

Every so often, we all gaze into the abyss. It's a depressing fact of life that eventually the clock expires; eventually the sand in the hourglass runs out, however Audlem WI ladies brush aside such nonsense, collect the sand and invent a new game!

So remember good people of Audlem and surrounding areas, some of us will have spent the morning wrestling with the WI tent – after all it always rains on tents, rainstorms have been known to travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds, for the opportunity to rain on a tent, but I have it on good inside information from the Met Office that the sun will shine and we will end up having a day full of light hearted pleasure!

See you all on Bank Holiday Monday at the WI tent – it will probably be the one that's leaning slightly!
