Why so little information on the local election?

A local resident has contacted Audlem Online saying: "Why hasn't there been more about the elections? I don't know the candidates names except for Rachel Bailey who leafletted. There was nothing about the Audlem candidates in the Chronicle that I could find. I wonder why none of them used the website to put themselves forward????"

It's a good question particularly as the political parties are so keen to get more people voting at elections. The polls are open for an additional two hours, compared to previous local elections, from 7.00am this morning to 10.00pm this evening. As well as voting for the local Borough councillor, there is the referendum about whether there should be an elected mayor for Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council.
