Check on the Forum to read the views of local residents on the reorganisation of local government that will affect Audlem in the next couple of years. Regular readers will recall that an Audlem Online Vote Poll supported the abolition of Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council, and it appears, from their proposals, the national Government agrees. Now the issue seems to be what will take its place – a unitary Cheshire Council with the main towns having their own Town Councils or, as now proposed, splitting the current county of Cheshire in to two unitary authorities, East and West Cheshire, with Audlem in East Cheshire, linked to Crewe & Nantwich, Congleton and Macclesfield.

Have your say, and read what others have said, including local people who have extensive experience of working in local government. Click on 'Forum' on the top horizontal bar, and then click on the bold titles of the various debates, including 'Planned local government re-organisation – what do you think?'
