With Billy Gibbons on stage at the Shroppie Fly outdoor stage, a huge crowd was there on Monday afternoon.

With photographer Frank Morris up on the roof of the Shroppie Fly to get the best vantage point – with the result that Billy thought he was a sniper – and Alvar Jones with his camera in the crowd, we bring you a selection of photos of this outrageously enjoyable performance.

With jokes galore, card tricks and a request to "bear with him" (one of the photos explains that one) and an unforgettable entrance by rocket as his alter ego Professor Atom, Billy delivered a set of Rockabilly numbers that entertained to the full.

He even went walkabout in the crowd with his drum being carried by guitar maestro Jim Kirkpatrick. Now that's a real mate!
