A number of people have contacted Audlem Online to express their concern about last week's BBC Look North West broadcast from the village.

One says: "I wonder what your reaction to the BBC coverage of the village was?

I was away abroad so missed the thing. Now I understand from many that it was poor and did not cover any of the "vibrancy" we always claim we have. No coverage of the community spirit? No coverage of the wealth of societies here? No coverage of the events here? No details of the spendid church? No coverage of the lovely canal, our source of tourism? No coverage of the fine Public Hall? etc. I look forward to your views."

Another has commented that half a dozen people from around the region had telephoned her and said what a poor job the BBC did. No research, demonstrated by the fact that Stuart Flinders referred to the Butter Market as a bus stop, until he was corrected. Despite being here for a few hours to set up, it appeared no real thought went into the programme. The BBC decided property prices was all that mattered.

Mr 'Ebagum' from Shavington also contacted Audlem Online last week and was very critical. It seems his views are shared by many. What do you think? A new Forum topic on Audlem Online will give you the opportunity to have your say.
