Website calendar changes

The calendar process on AudlemOnline has been altered (dare we say upgraded or even improved?).

When the wallplanner display is shown, the calendar displayed includes all dates that have been added. There is also a dropdown list (which always shows "all events" when first displayed) which can be used to select a category of dates to be shown on their own.

Audlem Parish Council

The first set of dates to be treated in this way is that for Parish Council meetings. The dates throughout 2016 are now included in the calendar and can be shown on their own by selecting "Parish Council Meetings" from the dropdown list.

If the "all events" category is then selected, the display goes back to show all events on the list.

Other categories that will be added in the near future include "Quizzes" and "Village Events", as well as putting the existing entries for Church items and Music items into the right categories.

This method of selecting dates of interest has been successfully implemented on the Tattenhall Village website (which is based on the same ThenMedia software that is used for AudlemOnline) and it seems to be quite popular.

As Christmas is now officially over for 2015, the home page dropdown for Christmas shop times and Church services has been removed.

It has also stopped snowing all over the website – we will be looking for a display that shows raindrops soon!
