Website attracts new readers

It's been a full month since Audlem Online was relaunched in its new format with more pictures; more colour; daily local weather forecasts; on-line Sudoku; an interactive map of the village and much more.

Before the change-over, the website was attracting around 7,000 readers a month. This has now increased significantly with around 11,000 readers in May – we cannot give the exact figure as the figures for the first few days of the month are only an estimate. The readership was boosted by the very popular Festival but we hope that our many new readers will keep coming to the site for information and local news.

Exploring Audlem OnlineWe know most readers check out the news stories but it's also worth having a look at headings such as 'Heritage' and 'Tourism' which have lots of information on Audlem and area. The 'Gallery' has a growing number of local photos while the new on-line Sudoku – with new puzzles each day – is also proving popular. You can check out a wide range of locations using the interactive map of Audlem. 'Events' gives details on all the forthcoming events in the village and nearby.

We are grateful for everyone's interest, particularly as we understand a number of people had difficulty picking up the new site in the first few days of May.
