Weaver Way proposals for Audlem

Pam Seddon reports: "Two of us from Audlem attended the Weaver Valley Spatial Framework Consultation exercise at Northwich Memorial Hall on 12th February.

"After a couple of short presentations it was straight into workshops – and this was where the majority of the consultation took place. Of course, much of the discussion was not directly relevant to Audlem, but some of it was. For instance, we learnt that improving the towpath between Audlem and Nantwich is a high priority, which is good news. The downside is that this can only take place once funding has been found.

"We also discovered that the Weaver Way team has acquired some of the £50m Connect2 Sustrans money and a total of £3m will be spent on schemes improving the cycle network in Northwich and the Nantwich to Crewe Greenway."
