Water leaks

A local resident has contacted Audlem Online to report that the police had to be called to deal with a Stafford Street property with water pouring from it.

The house had been left unoccupied over this very cold period with, it would seem, the water on or the cold tank not emptied. Today, there was water coming out under the door, which thankfully has now been stopped.

A major leak at the top of Green Lane a few days ago saw water freezing rapidly and creating very icy conditions as it poured towards the village. This was fixed quickly, and in awful weather. Our correspondent says "Thank You" to those workmen.
