Available Walking Routes to School -- Scrutiny Meeting July 19, 2016

At next week's children and families overview and scrutiny committee we are expecting high public interest.

The time available for public participation will be limited and it may not be possible to accommodate everybody.

It would therefore be helpful if individuals, or spokespersons representing interested groups who wish to speak, would contact the Council in advance of the meeting by contacting the scrutiny team on 01270 686459.

The special meeting of the children and families overview and scrutiny committee is being held at Sandbach Town Hall on Tuesday, July 19th at 10.00am.

The meeting is being held to review a recent Cabinet decision to withdraw free school transport for five schools within Cheshire East.

Although the scrutiny committee has no powers to overturn the decision, it may decide to ask Cabinet to review its original decision. Alternatively, it may decide that the original Cabinet decision should stand.

Members of the public may attend the meeting to observe proceedings. There will be an opportunity for members of the public to make a statement to the committee prior to the matter being discussed.

The agenda for the meeting can be viewed online at www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/council
