Vulcan Trust

Those that saw the Vulcan fly low over the village a month ago may be interested in the fund-raising campaign which is, in the words of the Vulcan to the Sky Trust: "to save this icon for the nation now."

You can visit the appeal on www.vulcantothesky.org or call 0116 247 8145. 2010 is the 50th anniversary of XH558, the Vulcan that visited this area and now the only one flying after being saved by the Trust.

You can even donate by Text which costs £3. Local resident Peter Oxley did this and says: "You can imagine how pleased I was to see the Vulcan over Audlem after I made a small donation...I got my money's worth! Good show!"
