Volunteers – thank you from Cheshire East

Back home  /  News  /  Volunteers – thank you from CE

As this peculiar and difficult year draws to a welcome close, ADCA would like to thank all those who have stepped forward during 2020 to volunteer their help to enable us not only to continue our existing services, but also to take on new ones.

The ADCA Home Support Service has been a great help to many people locally, enabling them to have prescription medicines and shopping collected and delivered to their door – and we could not have done it without the help of an amazing group of local people who offered to assist. (In fact, we had more offers of help than we were able to bring on board!).

So, thank you so much to every single one of our volunteers. ADCA has plans for new services that will hopefully start early in the New Year and if anyone wishes to make "volunteering" a New Year resolution, especially those willing to drive their cars to take ADCA members to their clubs, then please do get in touch with us.

We appreciate that there are many local people who volunteer their help in other ways and to other groups, which is what goes to make Audlem such a supportive and vibrant community. So, thanks to all volunteers in the area and please do read this letter of thanks to volunteers from Lorraine O'Donnell, Chief Executive of Cheshire East Council.

Happy New Year to you all.
