With the TV weather forecasters commenting on the possibility of great sunset photos over recent days as a result of the Icelandic volcanic eruption, Ian Jones has sent this photograph of an extra red sunset taken in Hankelow on Thursday evening.

Another regular reader contacted Audlem Online last night to say that he had just watched an Air Balloon pass over Audlem.

He suspects that it took off at 17.00 hrs on Sunday 18th April, the first flight from Coxbank International Airport (CIA) since the eruption, and heading for an unknown destination. This proves, he suggests, that the technology of the past can more than compete with the volcano.

A photograph has been posted to us by another reader.

We are also pleased that so many readers have been reporting on activity at CIA. An Audlem Online investigative journalist will be departing for Coxbank this morning to check if there's any truth in these readers' Chatbox reports.
