Village Parking Problems

The Parish Council have received complaints regarding both traders and residents ignoring parking restrictions on Shropshire Street. Parking here is limited to a maximum stay of an hour between 8am – 6pm with no return within 2 hours. However it has been noted that some people park their vehicles there all day.

Please can we ask you all to respect the parking restrictions and park your vehicles in the car park if you require a longer stay. By doing so, customers, who are spending money in the village, will have a better chance to park on the street during the day and it will give the heart of the village some breathing space.

A parking warden from Cheshire East Council has visited the area this week and will be making regular visits from now on. Should those flouting parking restrictions continue to do so then they will no doubt end up receiving a parking fine.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
