This week's Nantwich Guardian says that Highways engineers will consider problem parking in Audlem at a meeting later this month. Audlem Parish Council are bidding to extend parking restrictions to the front of shops on Stafford Street and in the Square.

Double yellow lines are only painted in sporadically and, the report adds, parking is contributing to problems with traffic flow through the centre of the village. Parish Council clerk Jean White said: "The centre is bedlam with traffic – through traffic gets held up by parked cars and those parked cars can't get out with queues of traffic blocking the way. Something needs to be done."

You can have your say on whether parking restrictions should be enforced more stringently. Votes cast so far show divided opinion on this issue. You can view the results so far by clicking on 'View Results' under the 'Vote Now' panel. We have also introduced a new facility where suggestions for future polls can be made by you. Simply click on 'Suggest vote poll', type in your details and suggestion, scroll down and then press send. Your name will not be published if your Vote Poll idea is used.
