ADAPT Food Group are hosting the free village fruit pressing service for the second and last weekend this year, this Saturday (October 16th), under the Buttermarket.
Please bring hosed down fruit and a juice container or two and we will do the rest. We can cope with tons of apples and pears or grapes or even a small box of fruit, whatever you have. The juice freezes well and is full of vitamins and will last years,
The juice will last up to a week in the fridge before fermentation starts. That is another story. We have some empty demijohns for the adventurous.
Parents and children come along and participate in the pressing, or just drop the fruit off and collect the juice later. It's a shame for fruit to go to waste, your juice will have near zero miles. We don't want to be stood idle. We need your fruit, you need your juice.
