The AudlemOnline webteam wish all our readers and contributors a very happy and prosperous New Year.
It's been an exciting year for all, particularly in the past month, with Audlem featured on numerous TV and radio news bulletins and many having the experience of seeing themselves regularly on TV – and not just in Britain but across Europe and in Canada.
The result is that AudlemOnline's readership soared with several days in December attracting 6,500 or so readers and in the month recording over 100,000 readers – that is over 3,000 a day – a first for the website.
Over 760,000 readers clicked on in the year, an average of just under 2,100 a day. This represented a rise of 24% on 2013.
How much longer a small village website can keep growing like this never ceases to amaze us but we suspect the December monthly record, driven by the Amazing Grace for Mend our Mum video, will stand for a very long time.
Unless, of course, Audlem comes up with something even more spectacular in the future!
Our thanks for your interest and your many contributions. In particular, our thanks and best wishes to all that make Audlem and its surrounding villages such a vibrant and caring place to live. Without all your work and creativity, we would not have anything to report every single day of the year.
