Vandalism at Lock 10

Graffiti / Vandalism to the old 'carpenters shop ' blacksmiths building and lock gate beams at lock 10 on the Audlem flight of locks'

How sad that the 'heritage building' has basically been attacked in an extremely mindless manner.

The Canal & River Trust have always used the Audlem Flight of Locks as a 'jewel' in their area of responsibility, well managed by the Trust Volunteers and used as an example to other areas of what can be achieved by local enthusiasm and support,

By way of an update the Heritage Section of the Canal & River Trust have been informed who in turn have reported the damage to the Police,

Over the next few days Heritage will be carrying out a survey of the damaged brickwork and possibly involving the use of a 'thermatec lance' to restore the said brick work with minimal damage.

If, in reading this anyone recognises any names or art style in the graffiti the Police would be extremely interested.
