Update on Local Road Closures

Ed : This was sent to us earlier today and outlines a response Cllr Rachel Bailey has received from Cheshire East Highways on local road closures.

21st December 2020

I have spoken with the site supervisor and the works between Coole Lane and Nantwich lake will be completed tomorrow by 12 noon. This will allow the workforce to move into the section from Coole Lane to the disused railway bridge.

 Once in this section the traffic management team can allow cars that travel along Coole Lane access towards Nantwich. The A530 will remain closed from Coole lane towards Sound to complete the remaining works. These will be completed by 16:30, if not sooner. 

I have expressed to the site team that it is a matter if urgency to concentrate their efforts on the Nantwich side of the closure so that we can ease disruption.I will give you an update tomorrow once the 1st phase of works are complete.

After tomorrow these works will be completed and the road fully open, if you need any more information please let me know.
