Audlem's quest for promotion is nearly complete after a dominant performance against Stone on Saturday. The team crushed their mid-table opponents by nine wickets, needing only three more points to secure promotion officially.

Skipper Richard Wilson won the toss and opted to field first on a tricky wicket. This decision quickly paid off as Abijith Jayan claimed a wicket on the second ball, leading to an incredible spell of bowling where he took seven wickets for just 16 runs in eight overs. Kamal Toraman also bowled tightly, taking two wickets for 11 runs, while Vijian Rahul claimed the final wicket. Stone's innings ended at a mere 39 runs in the 19th over.

Audlem had little trouble chasing down the target, losing only one wicket. Jack Allman was stumped for 18 after attempting a reverse sweep. Dave Blatherwick (18 not out) and Ben Salisbury (3 not out) guided Audlem to victory in just the ninth over.

With two games remaining, Audlem is set to face relegation-threatened Caverswall next. A win will secure them the league title. The next match will be their last home game of the season, starting at 12:30pm.
