Two local Lasses on radio

Rodney Cottrell has taken part in an interview on Radio Shropshire on the Classic Breakfast Show.

He was asked various questions about the Maughan Lass Wheelyboat and Overwater Marina and explained the nature of the boat, its purpose, its operation, and went on to explain that within a 40 mile radius of Overwater Marina alone there are 16000 registered wheel chair users.

In addition to this there are numerous care homes and other organisations meeting the needs of those with special mobility and other requirements where an additional social experience is always welcome.

Rodney explained that over 300 people had used the service since the Maughan Lass Wheelyboat came into operation in July 2015, up to the end of September 2015.

The Maughan Lass Wheelyboat resumes its service in April 2016 and advance bookings need to be made for a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday through Overwater Marina on 01270 812677 or by email to: info@overwatermarina.co.uk

There is no set fee for each booking but a donation is always welcome. The Maughan Lass sister boat The Audlem Lass resumes its boat service on Good Friday 25th March 2016 and will be running on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Bank Holidays, from 10.30am to 4.30pm for the month of April.
