A trucker's greeting to Audlem!

His many followers will be pleased to hear that Ned Clarkson, possibly a relative of Jeremy, has been in touch again. He says: "Hi Little Audlem Buddies! Just read your web page after getting back into the country after a prolonged spell driving the European roads. What a great idea to hold a Juggernaut Rally in your village. (see Audlem Online story – 1st April.) I've got a lot of mates who would only be too pleased to attend with their rigs, so we need to know exactly when you propose to hold this rally so that we can organise our work to be free to attend.

"It sounds like a brilliant day out for us truckers and our families, especially if you are providing all sorts of events to entertain us, such as a hog roast, a beer-drinking contest and maybe even some rig drag racing – if you could clear the main street for a while.

"Could you please let us know how you propose to regulate the number of trucks attending? I bet you've been inundated with requests from us truckers. Hey, you guys really know how to run a village! Looking forward to meeting you in the autumn."
