The Audlem Towpath Taskforce was hard at work again on Wednesday night.
The Canal & River Trust Volunteers carried out work at the request by the Shroppie Fly about weeds and growth along the towpath and wharf surface. They asked whether the work could be completed before the Music & Arts Festival this weekend and the RNLI Festival next weekend.
- Weeds were removed from 50m of brick sett towpath surface.
- Weeds were removed from approx 100m2 of cobbled surface under the pub benches.
- Weeds and foliage growing out of the water-point and sign base removed.
- Plants in the crane garden trimmed back.
- Weeds removed from the crane cobbled surface.
- Weeds removed from the wall edges adjacent to the mill.
- The photo shows the result of all the work!
