It's the Community Action Meeting tonight and it's an important meeting for everyone interested in the quality of the emergency services in Audlem. The ambulance service has been invited by PC Ken Maple to attend tonight's meeting to discuss the concerns about some reported recent lengthy emergency responses.

Three ambulance service representatives will be at this evening's meeting, which starts at 7.00pm at St James' school. They are:

Ian Moses, Sector Manager for the Central and East Cheshire Area

Mike Moore, Operational Service Manager (OSM) for Central Cheshire Area

Asiya Jelani, Communications and PPI Lead for the Cheshire and Merseyside

Area of NWAS

As Ken says: "This will be a great opportunity to learn about how your ambulance service operates and also to put questions to the team, so please come along and join in."

It is good to see the North West Ambulance Service is taking the issue so seriously. It's rare that one can say of a meeting that the issue being discussed is a matter of life and death, but for anyone needing an ambulance in a hurry, that is no exaggeration. We hope there will be a big turnout for what promises to be an important discussion and public forum.

If you have friends or relatives who may not be aware of this meeting, but would be interested in attending, please do let them know. After all, we all have a vested interest in ensuring we have the best possible emergency services.
