My father Tom Wrench passed away on the 19th of august.

He lived in the village for 82 years and we are arranging a get together – not a wake – just a little send off and raise a glass to my dad on Sunday 18th September 2pm at the Bridge Inn.

So he is Tom Wrench – well known to many as Trout – he was 86 years old. He and his brothers Vincent, Cyril, and Douglas, grew up in the village. My dad went on to have 8 children Sarah, Samantha, David,Trevor, Michael, Andrew, Sharon,and Patricia.

He worked many years as a farm hand at Highlands Farm for Roland and then Tanya and Alan. He shared his life with my mother Anne Lunt for 41 years. He passed on the 19th august and had a cremation on the 31st august. He didn't have a service as he hated funerals and never wanted – one he didn't want people to be sad – crying and wearing black he would rather you send him off in your wellie boots.
