Threat to Audlem's fire engine

There's a new article on the Audlem Online homepage by Peter Morgan describing the threat now posed to Audlem's fire engine. The idea has been floated by the fire service that the Audlem station should have its vehicle replaced by a smaller Targeted Response Vehicle (TRV).

As Peter explains, this is regarded as only a support vehicle and is equipped with a short ladder, just at the time the village is seeing building work start on the three-storey high houses on Moseley's Yard. So the timing of this proposal couldn't be more contentious or incomprehensible!
