I was Broken, You made me Shine

I was broken when you found me,
and you reached in and freed me.

I was withdrawn and feeling numb,
watching life come all undone,
Growing fear of human grace,
a drowning mind in a dark embrace.

Your love tore through my bonds,
and set my heart to song.

Your need for me and mine for you,
has made my life a new.

You made my heart beat again,
as I fell in love with you.

Nothing is as it seemed before,
the darkness and solitude are gone.

You vanquished the evil from my soul
and made me shine again.
